Introduction to Transportation Engineering:

The first-level discipline of Transportation Engineering originated from the Department of Locomotives and Rolling of Shanghai Jiaotong University and the major of railway engineering of Tongji University.In 2000, it obtained the master degree of Operational Tools for Operational Engineering, and was awarded the first-level master degree in transportation engineering in 2006. In 2012, it was awarded the first-level discipline doctoral point and post-doctoral research station.Transportation engineering is the high-level discipline of Jiangxi Province in the 12th Five-Year Plan.Thirteen Five Jiangxi Province dual class discipline - the preponderant discipline.In the fourth round of discipline evaluation of the Ministry of Education in 2017, it ranks in the first 1/3 of the country; and ranked tenth in the national rankings of the Alumni Association Network of China.

The use of engineering tools for transport vehicles has been awarded by the State Council's government special allowances, Jiangxi Province, Jiangxi Poyang Excellence 555 Project leader, Innovation Drives 5511 Engineering Scientific and Technological Innovation Talents in Jiangxi Province,Academic and technical leaders of major disciplines in Jiangxi Province ,Jiangxi Province in the new century talent project candidates , the young and middle-aged academic leaders of universities and colleges in Jiangxi Province, and the young scientists of Jiangxi Province, it has formed a high-level research team with reasonable age, education, and professional titles.it has a research platform for the National Railroad Infrastructure Operation , a  Maintenance Safety Technology National Research Center, the Ministry of Education Key Laboratory for Transport Tools and Equipment,  and the Jiangxi ProvincialKey Laboratory of Transport Tools and EquipmentThe main research directions include the fatigue strength, reliability, dynamics analysis of the key components of the vehicle, the connection of the mechanically deformed sheet, the research on the key technologies for the lightweight body and so on.
